Healing doesn’t have to be heavy.
Most of my work centres around men, walking beside them through transitional phases of life — navigating who they are and where they're headed. New husbands or fathers figuring out how to show up for their partner, their kids, and better knowing themselves. Men wanting to communicate with intention, to access emotions, and build the connections that matter most.
I work hard to create a space that feels warm, relaxed, and genuinely human. Think of our time more like a real conversation, and less like a performance. I want sessions to feel approachable — side by side rather than face to face. I think this approach is especially important for men; so often we're taught (directly or indirectly) that asking for help is a sign of weakness, when often it takes more courage than anything else.

I draw from a range of approaches depending on what serves you best. Narrative Therapy helps us look at the stories we tell ourselves, and gives us the opportunity to rewrite the ones that no longer serve us. Somatic Awareness brings attention to what the body is holding, not just our minds. Person-Centred Practice keeps you as the expert in your own life, and I follow your lead. And when it's helpful, we can explore cognitive patterns — those thought loops that keep us stuck.
I'm also very excited to be offering Walk and Talk therapy. Sessions are held outdoors, in nature, where movement and fresh air can unlock things that sitting in an office sometimes can't. Moving while talking often feels more natural than sitting across from somebody — so if this sounds like you, I'd enjoy going for a stroll and a chat.

I came to counselling through people. I've always been drawn to conversation, connection, and sitting alongside someone with whatever they may be carrying.
Community, creativity, and joy are at the heart of who I am, and these values shape the way I show up in life — and in the counselling room. I'm an optimist at my core. You could say I'm a glass-half-full, sun-on-my-face kind of person, who believes that lightness and laughter can exist alongside the hard and meaningful work of healing, without ever minimizing what is real.
What truly comes alive for me in this work is helping people understand themselves — their identities, their values, and who they are at their core. There's an energy in that kind of self-discovery that I find endlessly meaningful, and it's what drew me to this path in the first place.
The hard things deserve to be honoured, and I'll be right here for that. But I also believe that even in our hardest climbs, there are moments of hope, growth, and light waiting for us on the trail to the summit.
We believe that different ways of working offer different ways of seeing.
Summit Within brings together three practitioners whose approaches are genuinely complementary — not by accident, but by design. Between us, our practice is at once emotionally alive, structurally grounded, and always in search of meaning.
